Last month we had the chance to visit the San Buenaventua Mission in Ventura, California. Around 1 hour drive north from Los Angeles.

This is one of the 21 religious outposts that The Spanish built in California. California Missions; established by Catholic priests of the Franciscan order between 1769 and 1833, to expand Christianity among the Native Americans northwards into what is today the U.S. state of California.
