Last month we had the chance to visit the San Buenaventua Mission in Ventura, California. Around 1 hour drive north from Los Angeles.
This is one of the 21 religious outposts that The Spanish built in California. California Missions; established by Catholic priests of the Franciscan order between 1769 and 1833, to expand Christianity among the Native Americans northwards into what is today the U.S. state of California.
Since it’s opening in 2009, the High Line has become an icon for innovative design, a defining feature in its neighborhood. The design is characterized by an intimate choreography of movement, with alternating vistas and experiences. Distinctive paving, planting, furnishing, lighting and social spaces create an authentic and memorable New York City experience.
LACMA museum is well known for its curated art selection. But it also has an abundance of outdoor space and nearly year-round temperate weather making the museum's campus an ideal setting for monumental works of outdoor sculpture. This black structure caught our eye from far away. Inside or outside the "window" which side are you at?
Last month we visited New York to show our FW16 collection at Capsule. A great excuse to meet with our dear friend and architect Sofia Idoate, our Cueroandmør Woman of the month.
Sofia is the living example of the perfect life balance, work hard but make sure to have fun along the way. We visited the meatpacking district with her. And after a day of laughter and some photos we got to ask her a bit about herself!
SCHINDLER HOUSE WITH THE ALHAMBRA CROSSBODY
"I consider myself the first and still one of the few architects who consciously abandoned stylistic sculptural architecture in order to develop space as a medium of art" -R.M. Schindler (1887-1953)
Venice Beach was the scenario where we spent a sunny afternoon with Hildur Atladóttir. Our Cueroandmor Woman of the month.
Hildur is an Icelandic native who made California her home. Her humbleness and constant smile are the two things we like the most from her. We had the chance to get together and ask her a few questions!
After months of sketches, samples and travels we are extremely happy to introduce you to our new collection. Cueroandmor SS16. Featuring three new designs in three colorways, Black, Cognac and Alhambra. Now, more than ever, our collection represents our ideas and aspirations, translated into the shapes, pattern and functionality of every bag.
Today we wanted to introduce you to our new Black Crossbody and couldn’t think a better way to do it than in a monochromatic way at the Getty Center and its LA views. We can't encourage enough to go visit it!
Today we want to introduce Laura Pacheco, our first feature on "Cueroandmor Woman" posts. A Spanish architect living her dream life in LA. We met with her at the Schindler house, for many the first modern house ever built. Click the link below for interview!
The Thanksgiving weekend felt like a little vacation. We decided to go explore LACMA’s surroundings a bit more in depth and found a fantastic hidden amphitheater and plaza in the back of it.
